About The Series
Basic Information: Bleach started as a shounen manga series and then was converted into an anime. Shounen means that the manga is more directed towards boys but it does not mean girls can't like it. This anime series is very main stream and wide known. Both the manga and anime have been licensed in the states so if you like the show be sure to help support the author and buy it!
Summary:Ichigo Kurosaki has always been able to see ghosts, but this ability doesn't change his life nearly as much as his close encounter with Rukia Kuchiki, a Soul Reaper (Shinigami) and member of the mysterious Soul Society. While fighting a Hollow, an evil spirit that preys on humans who display psychic energy, Rukia attempts to lend Ichigo some of her powers so that he can save his family; but much to her surprise, Ichigo absorbs every last drop of her energy. Now a full-fledged Shinigami himself, Ichigo quickly learns that the world he inhabits is one full of dangerous spirits and, along with Rukia--who is slowly regaining her powers--it's Ichigo's job to protect the innocent from Hollows and help the spirits themselves find peace. - AnimeNewsNetwork
My Comments: I'm not usually someone who likes these main stream animes, especially not shounen ones that have power ups. Yet, for some reason Bleach has me hooked and drawn in. I might be because of the characters and their personalities or it might be because of the drawings. I'm not entirely sure. While it does have it's draw backs (for me) I still recommend many people to this one. Just don't expect a complicated plot. It was drawn for a young male audience. (uh, that sounded kind of wrong didn't it?) I just meant that it was meant more for fun and powers and fighting than it was for a really deep plot. You have to watch it and enjoy it for what it is.
Ulquiorra and Orihime Shine - Why?
Even though there is no definite answer as to how these two feel about each other. I feel like they are very much canon. Many people will disagree but a huge chunk feels the same as I do. The evidence is all over the net! If you aren't a fan of them then perhaps I can change your mind or at least get you to understand why.
So, why am I making a shrine for them? The answer is simple really. I really like them! These two characters are what got me interested in Bleach. Don't get me wrong, I had to be a good enough fan to make it far enough for Ulquiorra to come into the story, but once he did I was a hardcore fan.
To me the relationship between these two is heart breaking and yet warming. They couldn't be anymore different like the sun and the moon. Yet somehow they both compliment each other well. Just like how we can't live without having both around.
Below is a list of reason as to why I like them and think they should be together or classified as canon. (Be aware that these have spoilers!)
1.) Orihime does not act like a damsel in distress around him.
2.) She acts stronger and more sure of herself, as if trying to get him to understand her.
3.) Ulquiorra doesn't hurt her, even after she slaps him across the face.
4.) They are able to talk to each other and learn new things, even come to understand each other a little bit.
5.) Ulquiorra does not treat her like she can't do anything on her own.
6.) Orihime seems to look ashamed of herself when Ulquiorra finds her doing something or being somewhere she isn't suppose to be.
7.) Ulquiorra become a lot more talkative after spending time with Orihime.
8.) They have a lot of eye staring! (haha)
9.) Orihime can't seem to answer Ulquiorra when he asked her why she didn't protect Ichigo sooner.
10.) Ulquiorra needed someone with a bleeding heart to get through to him, she was the thing he was searching for.
11.) Orihime was Ulquiorra's answers to all his questions, he was able to understand things finally and was at peace.
12.) Orihime started to cry when Ulquiorra started to fade away.
12.) Ulquiorra reached out to Orihime and she reached back!
13.) Orihime told Ulquiorra she was not afraid of him.
14.) When Ulquiorra reached out and she reached back he thought 'I see, this thing in my hand is the heart?'.
15.) As he talked about taking interest in everyone he was staring at Orihime.
